Workshops and Education
Nous 4M is currently offering workshops for beginners, mid-level and experts by certified Rhino instructors. Thanks to all of the participants! We were very happy with the results of the workshops. Check back to see our winter schedule of classes coming out soon.
Beginner Level Software and Fabrication Workshop
2 weekends total starting 2 October
The first part of the workshop will give you an overview of 3d design in Rhino taught by a certified Rhino instructor to produce a simple but complete piece for fabrication (1 weekend). The second part of the course (1 weekend) will teach you how to set up files for milling. You will mill the piece on the CNC, gain insight into the different methods and procedures with materials and bits, and finish the piece using traditional machinery if required.
Medium Level Software and Fabrication Workshop
2 weekends total starting 16 October
The first part of the workshop will teach you advanced methods in Rhino for fabrication by a certified Rhino instructor where you will complete a complex piece of furniture or component (2 days - 1 weekend). The course assumes that you have a good understanding of 3d software packages. The second part of the course (2 days - 1 weekend) will teach you how to set up files for the CNC milling machine, go over drill bits and materials to use, and teach you all of the more intricate insights into machining and finishing. You will mill your piece and complete it with the help of traditional machinery if required.
