Nous 4M has been created as a resource for architects, designers, and creatives to provide fabrication and production facilities for professionals and tutors, and affordable professional office space.

It offers a 6,000 sq ft fabrication space featuring 5 axis and 3 axis CNC milling machines, laser cutters and space for setting up workshops, furniture viewings, installations, small film sets, and mock-ups for buildings. Nous 4M also hosts workshops from London and abroad to use its facilities as well as courses in software and fabrication. Nous 4M also lets affordable office space to up and coming firms, and provides all the resources of a larger office.

Melissa Woolford is the Founder and Director of nous. She has worked as an architectural designer for offices such as Zaha Hadid Architects, KOL/MAC and DORA. She received her Masters in Architecture with Honors from Pratt Institute in 2006 and architectural studies undergraduate from UMass Amherst in 2004. As well as participating on international panel discussions she has adjudicated at Columbia, Pratt, the Architectural Association, Malaquais, Paris, University of Kentucky, and the University of East London.

Rama is a founding director of 4M Group. He deals with the overall responsibility for the management and development matters within the Group. He has been involved in various large scheme developments including his duties as a London team project leader on Enk Complex Mixed Use development in Prishtina and as a specialist consultant for developing Special tools for Spatial Planning and Architecture for Newham Council and Tower Hamlets. He has over ten years experience on various projects in residential, commercial, hotels and mixed use developments within UK and internationally. Having worked and travelled extensively in different countries over the years, (New York/USA, TCI Caribbean, Kosova, UK, Italy, Kuwait, UAE) collaborating on large scheme projects he has developed an entrepreneurial flair and creative thinking to design new enterprises. Rama has teaching experience as a unit tutor at Nottingham University School of architecture and supervises PhDs in the area of 3d Generative Architecture & SMARTbuilding design at MA and PHD program at SmartLab Media institute, he is also a visiting tutor/critic at University of East London on Degree, Diploma and MSc in Computing & Design and as visiting critic at the Architectural Association. He conducted extensive research on spontaneous settlements and self organisation and is an expert in Generative Architecture and Smart Buildings. He is a member of Centre for Evolutionary Computing in Architecture at University of East London.

Length Width Height @NYDesigns is a 3000sq/ft Fabrication Lab located in Long Island City, Queens, just across the East River from Manhattan.  We are steps away from three MTA subway lines.  We also have two full-size loading docks for material delivery and product shipment.  We have a full range of tools, including two small CNC milling machines, a 100W large-format Trotec laser cutter, a Dimension 1200 FDM 3D printer, CNC lathe, private workshop space, and many other member perks.  We also offer business services, including studio space, conference rooms, and networking opportunities

Length Width Height has a staff of professional designer and fabricators to help with member projects, and are available for private consulting sessions.
